Children's Literature Web Guide This website is a means of sharing ideas and information with all those interested in literature for children and young adults.
The Cinderella Project The Cindrella Project is from the University of Southern Mississippi's English Department. It is a text and image archive containing a dozen English versions of the fairy tale. The Cinderellas presented here represent some of the more common varieties of the tale from the English-speaking world in the eighteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries.
Classics for Young Children This provides a starting point for locating online versions of children's classics that are now in the public domain.
The Clearinghouse on Reading, English, and Communication From Indiana University School of Education
Cyberkids Cyberkids provides a voice for young people on the Internet by publishing original creative work by kids ages 7 to 12.
deGrummon Children's Literature Collection The deGrummond Children's Literature Collection is a research center in the field of children's literature. Although the Collection has many strengths, the main focus is on American and British children's literature, historical and contemporary. It is part of Special Collections at The University of Southern Mississippi.
Folklore, Myth and Legend From the Children's Literature Web Guide, this site provides a starting point for locating public domain versions of many classic tales. Unfortunately, some of the links are out of date.
Carol Hurst's Children's Literature Page Carol Otis Hurst is a nationally-known storyteller, lecturer, author and language arts consultant. Her web site contains a collection of reviews of books for kids. She includes ideas of ways to use these books in the classroom. There are collections of books and activities about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes and professional topics.
Internet Archive of Children's Literature The primary purpose of the Children's Library is to provide access to children's literature that can enable children to understand the world around them and the global society in which they live. The materials included in the collection reflect similarities and differences in cultures, societies, interests, lifestyles, aspirations, and priorities of peoples around the world. Its primary audiences are children ages 3-13, librarians, teachers, parents, caregivers, and others concerned with the interests and welfare of children.
The Jack and the Beanstalk and Jack the Giant-Killer Project The Jack and the Beanstalk and Jack the Giant-Killer Project is a text and image archive containing several English versions of the fairy tale. The Jacks presented here represent some of the more common varieties of the tale from the English-speaking world in the eighteenth, nineteenth, and early twentieth centuries. The materials were drawn from the de Grummond Children's Literature Research Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Literature for Children Literature for Children is a collection of the treasures of children's literature published largely in the United States and Great Britain from before 1850 to beyond 1950. At the core of this Collection are books from the Baldwin Library of Historical Children's Literature, housed in the Department of Special Collections and Area Studies at the University of Florida.

Tales of Wonder This site is an archive of folk and fairy tales. The stories in this collection represent a small sampling of the rich storytelling art that is the common heritage of humanity. Stories from many parts of the world are included here. The owner of the site cautions: "Please note: not every story in this site is appropriate for all ages of children. TrackStar TrackStar is your starting point for online lessons and activities.
