Search Engines and Directories

Ask for Kids This represents a subset of the Ask Jeeves site, limited to sites deemed appropriate for children.
KidsClick KidsClick is a non-commercial site created and maintained by librarians. It is not filtered, but rather attempts to guide searches into appropriate areas. It contains no advertising. While its database is smaller than many of the others, its results tend to be more accurate and of a higher quality.
Yahooligans This is a subsystem of the Yahoo database, limited to sites deemed appropriate for children.
CyberSleuth Kids CyberSleuth-Kids.Com is an online search engine and guide for the K-12 student. CyberSleuth-Kids is the creation of the hard work of a teacher and the volunteers that make this site possible. The goal of CyberSleuth-Kids is to provide a safe educational online database of links to help the student sift through the maze of information.
Ivy's Search Engines for Kids This search forms for the major Internet search engines for kids. There are Internet search engine links, links to web guides for kids, some specialized search engine forms and specialized search engine links of interest to kids.
